Medal Ribbons, what are they?

Medal Ribbons are abbreviated forms of the full version metal and cloth Medals which soldiers wear on the left side of their dress uniforms just above their left breast pocket. They are called ribbons because they represent brightly colored ribbons and they are grouped in horizontal and vertical lines. They often denote service in various theatres of war and citations for bravery and injury such as the iconic Purple Heart. They are instantaneously recognizable by servicemen who served in WW2 and Vietnam in the United States, British and Canadian Armed Forces. Each painting of a medal ribbon is one of a kind, signed and dated on the reverse side. Media is Acrylic Paint on Canvas Panel 12" x 16" . These can be custom framed for an extra charge.  They can be displayed as a single painting or as a grouping of two to seven. Prices are for each painting. Each painting will be shipped with a description of the medal ribbons.
