The Glengarry is a traditional Scottish wool side cap featuring a toorie (pom-pom), a diced or plain band, a side rosette, and hanging rear ribbons.

Key Features

Material: Thick-milled wool designed to be folded flat.

Decorations: A top toorie (usually red), a left-side cockade or rosette for a cap badge, and two silk ribbons hanging down the back.

Pattern: Available in plain black/navy or with a red-white-black checkered (diced) band.

How It Is Worn

Traditional Angle: Before 1945, worn steeply angled with the right side low near the ear.

Modern Style: Worn level and straight on top of the head.

Purpose: Used for civilian Highland dress, pipe bands, and military uniforms
