How do you create an iconic African Salt Girl? Everyone knows the little white girl in her yellow dress. But why not an equally iconic African girl? Here are some of the iterations. Early design for an African version of the Morton Salt Girl with blue skirt

This was one modernized version which I rather like. certainly better than a cliched girl with an Afro. But I finally angled back to the iconic yellow dress but with a more modern cut and holding the umbrella arm up rather than resting on the shoulder. Still a work in progress.
