How do you create an iconic African Salt Girl? Everyone knows the little whote girl in her yellow dress. But why not an equally iconic African girl? Here are some of the iterations. 
This was one modernized version which I rather like. certainly better than a cliched girl with an Afro. But I finally angled back to the iconic yellow dress but with a more modern cut and holding the umbrella arm up rather than resting on the shoulder. Still a work in progress.
