· Regimental Number: The prominent number "16" sits in the middle.

· Victorian Crown: Surmounting the wreath and cross is a traditional Victorian crown. 

Bottom Row Left: This is an antique Victorian-era 24th (2nd Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot brass Glengarry cap badge, dating from the 1870s.

• Design Features: Features a central Sphinx resting on an "EGYPT" scroll, encircled by a garter inscribed "2ND WARWICKSHIRE" with the numeral "24" below, all surmounted by a British Crown.
• Historical Significance: The 24th Regiment of Foot famously fought during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, including the legendary defense of Rorke's Drift.
• Usage: Worn by soldiers on the side of the traditional Scottish Glengarry cap in the late 19th century prior to the 1881 Childers Reforms when they became the South Wales Borderers.
